How To Stay Out Of Prison

If this ain’t my Dad talking. Boy, oh boy! This felt all too real to me. As this man sits on the ground to fix the break pads on one corner of the car, like I’ve seen my father do so many times, he gives us some real talk. It’s served to us with just enough salt and pepper and country flavor that we can receive the message without turning up our nose or spitting it right back out. At the end of the day, It’s all because he’s relatable. You know him, you feel his position because you’ve played it before. And even if you haven’t, you know you’re doing yourself a disservice if you don’t at least listen. But trust me on this one, he’s preaching (like my daddy lol). Just don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty.

In Over My Head

This soothed my spirit and brought me out of an anxiety attack. It’s just beyond beautiful.

I have come to this place in my life
I’m full but I’ve not satisfied
This longing to have more of you
I can feel it my heart is convinced
I’m thirsty my soul can’t be quenched
You already know this but still
Come and do whatever you want to

I’m standing knee deep
But I’m out where I’ve never been
I feel you coming
And I hear your voice on the wind

Would you come and tear down the boxes
That I have tried to put you in
Let love come teach me who you are again
Take me back to the place
Where my heart was only about you
And all I wanted was just to be with you
Come and do whatever you want to

Further and further
My heart moves away from the shore
Whatever it looks like
Whatever may come I am yours
Further and further
My heart moves away from the shore
Whatever it looks like
Whatever may come I am yours

Then you crash over me and
I’ve lost control but I’m free
I’m going under, I’m in over my head
And you crash over me
I’m where you want me to be
I’m going under, I’m in over my head

Whether I sink, whether I swim
It makes no difference
When I’m beautifully in over my head
Whether I sink, whether I swim
It makes no difference
When I’m beautifully in over my head
I’m beautifully in over my head
I’m beautifully in over my head

Open The Eyes Of My Heart, Lord

In this moment God used a young blind austistic boy to “Open the Eyes of My Heart”. Watch the video that takes place in Concord, NH 2011 when a 10 year old Duffley sang a song that would later reach and touch the hearts of millions, myself included. Duffley is escorted to the stage by his uncle who precedes with the story of how life led them to that moment. It is truly inspiring to watch and if you listen you’ll hear how truly awesome God is. For Christopher may be blind but he can obviously see more than most. Watch from beginning to end to receive your blessing. Find out more about Duffley and his life story HERE

The Importance Of Mental Hygiene By HeyFranHey

So, since moving to New York I’ve met some really amazing people but none as focused, honest, and sweet as Fran also known as @heyfranhey. You can find many helpful videos on “Going natural from the inside out: tips on DIY beauty, natural hair care, nutrition and fitness; all with a bohemian twist!” on YouTube and her website heyfranhey.com However, she has recently started a mental hygiene series on her channel that speaks to my soul. She just gets it. She gets the weight of not feeling mentally well. She gets that you need to clean your mental just like you do your body. Watch the first two episodes of the series below and begin to transform your life. It’s great being a friend of Fran. You’ll see.
